MAFECO Projects
This is a project aimed at sustainability and growth of agricultural Cooperative Unions through capacitating them towards increased production in quantities, improved quality of produce and enhanced business management skills as an approach to preparing them towards accessing export markets.
This is a seven-year project being run jointly by MAFECO and the Cooperative Development Foundation of Canada (CDF Canada). The Project seeks to achieve improved economic well-being of the poorest, most marginalized and vulnerable people, particularly women and girls, with a view to contributing towards attainment of Strategic Development Goals (SDGs) for the country.
Land O’ Lake Venture 37, supported MAFECO in this Subaward with a Total sum of USD 24,975 (twenty – four thousand nine hundred and seventy-five US Dollars only), under the Cooperative Development Activity 4 project by strengthening Malawi Federation of Cooperatives (MAFECO) through expanding its technical operations and services which it provides to it members.
MAFECO has just signed an agreement on local subsidy award with Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) aimed at providing capacity building activities to cooperatives
Deutsche Genossenschafts und Raiffeisen Verband (DGRV) is the Cooperative Federation of Germany. It supported MAFECO in administrative and operational spheres to enhance its capabilities to provide services to the cooperative movement in Malawi.
