John Mulangeni Nkosi

Executive Director

John Mulangeni Nkosi serves as the Executive Director of MAFECO. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Cooperatives and Microfinance and over 30 years of experience, he brings vast expertise to the role. His career includes 20 years in the Ministry of Trade & Industries, where he rose to Principal Cooperative Management Officer. Now at MAFECO, John leads strategic efforts to elevate cooperative development and economic empowerment.

Portia Chirwa

Cooperative Development Officer

Portia Chirwa is the Cooperative Development Officer for Southern Region at MAFECO. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Rural Community Development, along with Diplomas in Agriculture and Cooperative Development. Her deep understanding of rural communities and hands-on experience in community growth fuel her passion for advancing cooperative initiatives across the region

Allie Twanje

Cooperative Development Officer

Allie Twanje is MAFECO’s Cooperative Development Officer for the Central and Northern Regions. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy and previously served in roles such as Accountant at Eagle Insurance and Internal Auditor at SGS Zambia. His diverse financial background strengthens his leadership in cooperative development and project management.

Phaskani Nyirenda

Finance And Administration Officer

Phaskani Nyirenda is the Finance and Administration Officer at MAFECO. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Finance and has worked with institutions like MCCCI and NASCOMEX. His career includes roles in accounting, commodity trading, and project justification, making him a key pillar in MAFECO’s financial and administrative operations.

Jeruzye Munthali

Project Manager

Jeruzye Munthali is the Project Manager leading MAFECO’s Ubale Project. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with additional qualifications in Agribusiness Management, Business Management, Climate Smart Agriculture, and Governance. Jeruzye’s strategic leadership ensures effective project planning and impactful results.

Mercy Mbale

Cooperative Development Assistant

Mercy Mbale is a Cooperative Development Assistant at MAFECO. Though new to the field, she brings strong enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a passion for grassroots development. Her approach focuses on teamwork, communication, and supporting cooperative growth through active community engagement.

Lyndah Kalima

Cooperative Development Officer

Lyndah Kalima serves as a Cooperative Development Officer at MAFECO. Known for her proactive mindset, she engages in designing and implementing strategies that strengthen cooperatives. She contributes to training, workshops, and outreach, playing a vital role in promoting sustainable growth across communities.

Grace Phillip

Grace Phillip is a Cooperative Development Officer at MAFECO, known for her commitment to advancing cooperative goals. Her role blends academic insight and practical experience, enabling her to support cooperative sustainability.
