Malawi’s cooperative laws, regulations and policies are overseen by the Ministry of Trade and Industry. As the current legislation is under review at the Ministry, an updated set of cooperative laws, regulations and policies is expected to be finalized before the end of 2024. The new Co-operative Act aims to simplify registration, membership, auditing and taxation laws.
